Almost a no-start this morning. Below zero with 10-W40 in the crank case. But it likes it!

1990 was the first time they put fuel injected engines into the vans

@fordgt700hp This was registered as a 1989 according to the owners manual and body stickers, and had an EFI straight 6.

Fuel Injection come out in 1986 for the 4.9L inline 6 and 5.0L V8 and was in the pick ups and vans starting in 86.

Our company had a brand new 1988 Econoline 300 6 EFI back then. I had no idea it was injected, so one day it conked-out on me, and I pumped the gas trying to start it. Nothing happened, THEN I found out after opening the hood! The "fart" happened all the time in my '99 Camry V6 when it was REALLY cold. That is the injection squirting a little more gas in to keep the engine alive.
