thats the point. its supposed to flex more in the tip then bottom its called a triflex sytem. the butt isnt supposed to flex very much so it build more power.

it looks like the bottom section has the female furrel...? did you notice a difference because of this? ive found rods like that to not want to flex in this section very well like a rod with opposit furrels.

how far was the last cast?

The last ground cast was about 550 feet. The rod has a soft tip, great for areolized casting and for bite detection but not the very best for ground casting.
