Lopez:
Robin Byron Lopez (born April 1, 1988 in North Hollywood, California) is an American professional basketball player. On June 26, 2008 he was drafted by the NBA's Phoenix Suns as the 15th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. He played basketball for the Stanford Cardinal, and he is the identical twin brother of former college teammate Brook Lopez, now playing for the New Jersey Nets.Robin Lopez was born in North Hollywood, California to Heriberto Lopez and Deborah Ledford. He was born into a life of basketball, as his grandfather played at the University of Colorado. His aunt was an architect residing in the Bay Area. Lopez moved from Hollywood, California to Oak Harbor, Washington while in second grade to be near his older brother, Alex, who was playing basketball at the University of Washington at the time. He moved to his current hometown of Fresno, California a year later, where he attended San Joaquin Memorial High School. There, he played with his twin brother Brook Lopez, as well as current Washington standout Quincy Pondexter. Both teammates played with Lopez on their successful AAU team, the Elite Basketball Organization (EBO), He averaged 7.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while averaging 24 minutes. He led the team with 73 blocked shots, breaking the Stanford record for a freshman and recording the second highest single season record in Stanford history. This mark also was the highest in the entire Pacific 10 conference. With his twin brother, Brook, the two blocked more shots than seven Pac-10 teams. Lopez also had two double-doubles on the season Lopez had his 100th career block in a game versus Santa Clara University on December 19, 2007. In his sophomore season, Lopez achieved All Pac-10 Defensive Team honors while also being named an Honorable Mention to the All Pac-10 team. He was second in the Pac-10 in blocks for the season. With 83 blocks in his second season, Lopez moved into second place all time for career blocks by a Stanford player. Lopez declared that he would enter the 2008 NBA draft on March 31, 2008, after just two seasons at Stanford. He was selected 15th overall by the Phoenix Suns. After being drafted by the Suns, Lopez said: "I was hoping I'd drop. I think I was the only person in the draft that was hoping he'd drop.

  • @Munger88 lol yea i feel bad for the lil guy. Brooks will prolly take over Naashs job when he retires wutta shame

  • @Livinglifehigh you realize dragic was traded to houston, right?

  • IMO dragic will improve drastically w/ Nash as a mentor. and replacing lopez w/ gortat is a good move

  • i like dragic mostly cuz he was fightin w/ sasha vujaBitch.

robin lopez is trash tho. gortat came in the middle of the season and earned the minutes he stole from lopez. lopez was just getting worse n worse

  • @azmindspin311 Yea but they would be under the Salary cap and the Chance for them to play together is on our team no other team would have to Space to sign both of them

  • @ghettovolcom Key words there are traded to Orlando Dumbass! Shows they know so much because they drafted this great player and then sent him away for almost nothing. As for the cap space Robert $arver hates spending money and those guys want to go to contenders, which the suns not.

  • @azmindspin311 Gortat was a 2nd Round Draft Pick and we gave him to the MAGIC.. retard... and now we have 30 million dollars in cap space to go for CP3 Deron Williams or Howard... so we could potentially sign 2 people

  • @ghettovolcom You are the IDIOT. 1 Gortat was not drafted by us. Rondo was traded away. They didn't know he was good. This management didn't draft sign nash or draft amare, and marion. Jerry Colangelo did that you stupid MORON!! Even since Robert $arver took over the organization has made bad decision after bad decision.

  • @azmindspin311 You seem to be forgetting the team that DRAFTED PLAYERS LIKE NASH, AMARE, DENG, MARION, RONDO, GORTAT were all drafted by us... like within a span of a 2 decades considering nash was drafted 1994 and you say we cant draft.. your the idiot... and we resigned him because we will be one of the FEW Teams with capspace to go after Howard or Chris Paul or Deron williams when they become free agents since we resigned Carter and Nash's contract is on his final year thats like 30 million
