Many recent studies have shown that a lack of face to face interaction is having a negative biological effect on young people, particularly increasing rates of depression. Dr. Aric Sigman has conducted extensive research in the field, and believes that there is a biological shortfall connected with excessive use of social media tools. While the tools themselves are undeniably useful, our dependence is becoming undeniably negative.
