You should change these filters every once in a while, they really do help. Its easy to do and I have gotten the filters for 17 dollars before, This time they cost 27. I might experiment with homemade filters next time.

  • would u recomend u sing those reusible wasable electrostatic airfilters u can get for your home heater unit? cut down to fit the civic cabin and engine air filters?

  • I suppose it would work, I may try the furnace filters next time, its worth a shot.

  • Thanks for the video. Replaced my used civic's filter which were disgusting. Your video helped a lot.

    Others - The owner's manual

(under Dust & Pollen Filter) has instructions on

replacing it, but who reads the manual anyway :o).

  • Yes the manual is a last resort. ;-)

  • I just bought an '04 Civic and the previous owner was a smoker. I got the old filters out in about 1 min. thanks to this video. Saved me a lot of head scratching and possibly screwing up my car! Thanks!

  • Thanks for the help!!

  • Any idea where the evaporator is (on the 2004 Civic) ??

  • same as 2001 honda civic - - -

autozone STP brand 2pk cabin filter for honda civic $15.99+ tax

  • Save even more money by purchasing a fiber ribbed 18"X24" home AC filter for less than $5. You have to cut strips in the sections to the exact size then compress to fit the frame but it works great. White fiber is water resistant and holds shape. My car smells like new inside again!! $30 for two filters for a car is too much...

  • just wash them in the sink, geeezzzzzzzz

  • I have a 2002 Civic and I changed the air filter following the extremely simple instructions in the manual. :)

  • @kaliaisgay I just found out after I tried looking for one for 30minutes under my dash. Although there's a fan under there and I cleaned out all the leafs that have built up over the years. So this tutorial still helped me out
