This is a compilation of a bunch of short video clips and pics I took with my digital camera on a couple cenote dives in Chac Mool. There were layers of salt water and crystal-clear fresh water -- the blurry parts in the video are where the two layers mixed. Pretty cool, eh? My favorite part is about five and a half minutes into the video, where we surfaced and checked out the cave from inside. One of the coolest experiences of my life!

  • Oh this is great! I dove here, but I didn't have any camera - I use this to convince ppl who don't dive to start :-)

  • Great Vid!,

I dived there in 2001 an was one of the best experience of my life. Vis that never ends and the halocline (salt/fresh) water mixing is sureal.

  • I just came back from THAT dive today. Great video - couldn't have done it better. Some moments that I found freaky.

  • nice video and music

    un saludo

  • Nod did this one too, the halocline was freaky. I also thought seeing the lights of the other divers 20-50 feet away was eerie...

  • I dived this cenote last year. Great capture of the halocline!

  • wow! incredible!!
