John Macarthur Abandoned by God

Gods word ,,, is what will change our hearts and allow us to see sin for what it is.... now its up to us to allow him to peice our heart and start the transformation... there are many testimonies of man and woman escaping immoral sexual lifestyles and trully being reshaped by the hand of God !!!!

I believe this man trully speaks the truth. Not that im an expert on the bible but i remeber reading that God gave them over to a depraved mind and man and woman gave into unnatural relations. Again, not throwing stones, not perfect but this is Gods word, so what do we do, contiue on in our depraved minds or seek the lord for his strength and word to lead us out of our sin that has us in bondage !!!!

guitarstrummer, I'm still researching marriage in the bible, and I'm not sure exactly where there is an outline per se, but a marriage covenant is mentioned: Malachi 2:14: "You ask, 'Why?' It is because the LORD is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth, becuase you have broken faith with her, though she is you partner, the wife of your marriage covenant."

Another excellent sermon by Pastor MacArthur. Some people don't like what he teaches, because, as they say, the truth hurts.

GOD gives man free will to do as he pleases. HE gives man a way to live by, so that there is order and peace. Man does as he pleases. Is GOD to go around and punish people for their "wicked ways" or is GOD to do what HE always does and let people have free will and let them pay for their sin at the end? That is TRUE freedom. And that is scary knowing u could suffer forever for worrying about yourself here on earth. I'm just sayin......

That's quite a lot of assertions there, my friend. Have you put as much thought into your eternal damnation scare tactic as you have the rest of your theology, or am I safe in assuming you are just trying to manipulate me into your religion with fear of death?

Not cool. Not cool at all.

If your beliefs have any validity, you should not need to resort to manipulation. That reveals a weakness in your truth claims - like a bully who cannot win without pushing his weight around.

sir (or miss), you have been privileged to hear God's truth spoken through one of the last great bible teachings on earth. I'm not going to get into a debate, I was simply trying to give you comfort for the distress that was caused with your family and friends. Good day, I hope you'll some day recognize the truth.

I've listened to dozens of his sermons. Talked to him in person. Have my Bible autographed by him. Been to Shepherds Conference.

John MacArthur is not trustworthy as a source of truth. I'm trying to show you why.

Are you insinuating that I am to respect and listen to John MacArthur in an unquestioning fashion? Am I to submit to him? To his teaching, as if it was truth - without question?
