Early Shenmue Dreamcast Trailer

This is an early trailer of Shenmue that came off the AT&T WorldNet CD that came bundled with my Sega Dreamcast (got it back in Oct. or Nov. of '99 - the video file dates back to July 16 '99).

Those who've played the game can notice how laughably misleading the trailer turned out to be, as almost all of the footage in the trailer comprises of cut scenes that were used in the second game. Makes you wonder what AM2 was thinking about how Chapter 1 was going to be like at the time, perhaps? Check out some trailers for the game before/around the DC's release:

i think i know why the shenmue game cost alot, becuase they made both shemue 1 and 2 at the same time, this is why it cost so much

I remember seeing this on a dutch tv game show before dreamcast was even released. I knew then and there that I wanted a dreamcast and got one at launch. shenmue is the greatest game of all time

Oh man. I remember when I first watched this. I didn't know what it was. All I knew was that it seemed really cool.

Who knew that Shenmue would become my favorite game of all time.
