  • @FireDropTechnologies Never heard of anything relating to the speedometer. Mine was made June 1941, so before Pearl Harbor, and it is original and complete and has a regular civilian speedometer. Military cabs have no cut out on the dash for the windshield crank. That and the bosses on the outside of the rear window for a protective screen are the main differences. Of course open cabs are obviously military. Many of these had people fit a Studebaker Cab and they look a littler wierd.

  • @tld5500 Going around the mountain to the left. :-)

  • I know this as my Grandparents had one of the 39's. This model truck was fitted with a dual portion canvas top. one section over the cab, that could be opened at the rear, and mated to the canvas top section fitted over the rear of the bed, Like a covered wagon type top. That snapped in to and attatched to the forward section of the Canvas. Some raire few of these model truck's where Equiped with arctic cabs ( hard tops) none had heaters.

  • Most of the 1/2 & 3/4 ton truck's fited with that bed and cab where navy truck,s as the army used the wider non-stepside bed.

  • That, Actualy the pre-war model body started production in 1939 And like the Bantam Jeep It had a slightly differant Power train in that before the war (World war two) The united states millitary had a requirement that none of their Vehichals where to exe. Speed's of more than 35 mph. If yours is indead a 41 model it will have a differant speedometer. with a 45 mph top speed. (though I doubt it go's as fast as that.)

  • @sydneym37 that is a power wagon they came out in early 40s and changed the body style in 46

  • When seats had springs and not just made of foam....

  • wow I want one.
