Barry Brandon was born with a life threatening heart condition, thus causing a grand total of 8 open-heart surgeries, the last being in March 2008. During the period before, during and after, BShertFilms began filming, in conjunction with Barry, for what has now become The Tin Man Project, a documentary about embracing life and overcoming extreme obstacles.

Barry Brandon is currently on tour with a cabaret show entitled "In My Own Words", singing and speaking about life as he remembers.

Barry headed into the studio in early 2009 to record his debut original material that he, alongside his best friend of 14 years Jose Luis Rodriguez, had been working on for quite some time.
