  • How much tubing actually goes into the car, also I used a home depot 5 gallon and the lid cracked, any suggestions how to avoid this?

  • Thanks for the question; they go down only as far as the threaded ends are, an inch or so; also I cut a flush hole for draining which is covered with black tape in the video. I don’t think the vacuum I used could suck oil; however, using a shop vac is another story. I’d going with a 5 gallon bucket next time just for those reasons, plus the lid is a heavier gage, and you can do several changes before dumping—maybe it’s your turn to do a 5 gal. demo video.

  • good idea how far does the tube stick in the barrel? is there any chance the vaccum will suck up oil?
