"Jean, I love you too, my gosh I think I mean that" ( to Rosalind). "You can't help youself darling....no, you're sunk (to Olivia). This is too good... I guess that I'm looking for the latest Flynn boxed set.

My father told me that when he went to work at Warners as a messenger in Feb, '38, this was the film that was currently in production, and he remembered being on the set where Walter Connolly had that huge, "miniature train" set-up! I think my grandfather wrote the theme music for this.

Errol was well on his way to establishing his reputation when this movie was made. Two female leads were competing for his affections, and, until the final minutes, you don't know who he's going to end up with. (Spoiler) I wish it had have been Olivia!

I haven't seen this movie in years, though I do remember the dogs chasing Errol. Somehow they knew that he wasn't destined to be a romantic screwball lead, although, in retrospect, he would have done quite well if the box office had steered him in that direction.
