That was a wonderful visual!! Thank you so much! It's a variation of another rear-end awareness exercise I've done with another dog~I think this particular method will work VERY WELL with the dog you saw bumping his butt out!! LOL!! I love that the leash pressure becomes the cue to perform the behavior! LOVE IT!! You're awesome! Thanks for going to the trouble of doing that!

This is called clicker training. It's great for training tricks or individual portions of obedience exercises. First you train the dog that when they hear the click, they get a cookie; click=cookie. Once a dog performs a correct behavior, you click and treat. It serves as a bridge between a correct behavior and the reward. If you're interested, I can recommend a book or two that you can try with Sophie...she would be a great trick dog!
