No apology necessary. We all love CCR's music. Sadly, the candle that burns twice as bright, burns half as long. BTW, it was John Fogerty who (unsuccessfully) sued former bandmates Doug Clifford & Stu Cook in an attempt to prevent them from performing CCR's hits as "Creedence Clearawter Revisited". The permanent injunction was denied. JF didn't perform CCR's hits for a long time -- by choice -- b/c he didn't want to pay royalties to then Fantasy Records owner Saul Zaentz.

I didn't write John Fogerty was dead, but rather his brother Tom had passed away. CCR wasn't just John Fogerty, though he was the lead singer and primary song writer. Tom Fogerty was an important part of the band, too (as were Doug Clifford and Stu Cook). Once he died, no "real" reunion was possible, regardless of the level of contributions by the various members.

It's John Fogerty and he is NOT dead! He is still touring. Catch him! Awesome show. That band will NEVER reunite. They tried to sue Fogerty to keep him from singing his own songs. The judge listened to Fogerty sing for a minute and threw the case out!
