I watched this three years ago in my freshman Spanish 1 class... It's an amazing movie, definitely one of my top 10. I remember tearing up and possibly crying a bit when the Stuttering Man was being tortured. It was so sad...

@rockz2000 Oh wow, yeah, it really is not a children's movie. It's actually one of the most adult movies I can think of with its very mature, complex themes and all, not even counting the violence!

I had to watch this movie for a global cinema class and I fell completely in love with it!!! It is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I am not one to watch foreign films. I loved every aspect of this movie and how it draws you in from the very beginning and never lets go!! And Ofiela's song is beautiful, its haunting but at the same time just amazing!!!

This is one of the most moving and hauntingly beuatiful films I have ever seen. My partner got this DVD for us to see together, but he was suddenly taken ill and died before he could watch it. The film's strong messages of life and death and of other realms were made even more profound for me. And the haunting melody that the young girl hums, remains embedded in the mind forever.
