Bengal Tiger Bachaao_Human chain

Sanctuary-Bengal Tiger Line's campaign Bengal Tiger Bachaao (BTB) organized villagers of Amlamethi in Sundarbans form a human chain to stand by Mangroves & Tigers on Friday November 12, 2010.

The main objective was to boost the ongoing statewide Wildlife Week initiatives by the West Bengal Forest Department & extend support towards conservation of mangroves & Tigers.

Around 300 people including children in large numbers gathered to form the symbolic chain on the embankment of river Gumdi river opposite to Pirkhali II forest area of the Sundarban Tiger Reserve.
This unique & never before initiative in the area generated huge curiosity & was attended by the Sundarban Tiger Reserve's officials & field staff.
