This past week the mid west (and..other places) experienced a strong winter storm. It brought up to 20inches of snow in some places.
Locally, we got 18.5. As dangerous as the situation was with windchills, and the ice we had accumulated before the snow, it was actually quite beautiful.
A couple of the pictures are from our local news sites that viewers had sent in from their homes. it amazes me to see some of the drifts they have as well.
Enjoy the pictures, hopefully everybody who was affected by this storm is digging their ways out now and doing well! I know it was rough for some, but hopefully we all survived the snowmaggedon of 2011! :)

Two days of no School in Bloomington-Normal IL...Everything closed the day after the storm...(except for CVS!!! yay for grocery shopping at a convenience store...people were stuck wherever they were for at least two days! Its still an obstacle course just to get to class!

That was a terrible day. Although, my school was closed, so at least there was that. But still, I hate the snow.

@OhHayMike It definitely was terrible. it snowed again today. and its supposed to the next 3 days too -__-. haha everything was closed here too, then again nobody could get out to go anywhere!
