Too bad I was born in 1986. I wish I could wake up and it would be 1966. The beautiful melody and lyrics, not to mention their perfect harmony, make this one of the best songs from the 60s!

@Marcus70815 They all changed their surname to 'Walker' eventually!
-
The "Walker Brothers" consisted of Scott Engel, Gary Leeds, and John Maus. So they weren't even brothers.

it's so wierd the Walker Brothers did the song to the show The Walking Dead
hmm wonder if Walking Dead used it because it's the Walker brothers

@klophe4 You are funny!! At least you know the Walker Brothers sing this song. I think a lot of people in the US thought it was the Righteous Brothers!!

Very good but bigger fan club than the Beatles? Presumably only when The mop tops were in decline otherwise "No chance".
The drummer released a single which was popular but I dont think that was reflected in the sales?

@Kohl423 All three Walker Brothers members released singles, but Scott had the most successful solo career in the UK and Europe.
According to documentaries and magazine articles I have read, from 1965 to 1966 the Walker Brothers had a bigger fan club than the Beatles in the UK only. The WB were big in the UK, Europe, and Japan and were not very popular in the US even though they were American. The Beatles were able to conquer America and that made a big difference.
