Here are my garden hens destroying the grass with their little claws.

The breeds are;

Ginger chook = Ginger Nut Ranger (Omlet Eglu)
White chook = Amberlinks
White chook with brown chest = Pile Leghorn
White chook with black tail = Light Sussex
Dark brown chook = Partridge Welsummer
Bearded chook = Salmon Faverolles

  • The white hen on the left of the step is an amberlinks...she lays one egg EVERY DAY! Very reliable breed ^_^

  • The garden destruction is something I worry about as I plan to incorporate two into my backyard life. It helped to see your yard with so many... Ouch! I guess I'll have to keep them in a run most of the time, letting them out for an hour or so a day to roam, kick, and scratch. Naughty girls! Maybe a pair of soft little chicken boots on their feet would keep the damage down:)
