Saw her last night in Milwaukee with her father. She's got a nice voice, but was not incredible in anyways, and she kept pulling the mic TOO far away on the belted notes. Like I know you have to pull it away to prevent hurting people's ears but she pulled it so far away the belted parts of the song were hard to hear and the quiet parts she put the mic too close and were really loud + it was a bit... I don't know, it was just a little too clear she's only on the stage because of her dad.
friends and family obviously love her, write her up in loving youtube comments, but let's face it she has a little voice that is undistinguished. I saw her at her father's concert in the Royal Albert Hall in London last year and the time she spend on stage was valuable time for the elder citizens to go to the toilet one last time before her father appeared..apart from that sweet girl no doubt.
what an awkward performance. She is definitely not even half talented like her father. Any mediocre singer would do better than her in this duet....sad..
(--cont) When he brought her back to the stage for a duet, I hoped he could carry her through it, but the contrast between them simply put her lack of talent in sharp relief. I looked for this video to see if maybe we caught her on a (very) bad night, but this is a carbon copy of what we saw last night. I'm sure he loves his daughter and wants the best for her. Right now, though, the loving thing to do would be to lay a little honesty on her.
I don't know who you saw in Daytona, KentuckyJet, but the woman I saw and heard in OK last night was not as you described. She had an awkward stage presence, a thin and unattractive voice, and an undistinguished technique. Frankly, it was embarrassing. We were thankful when she stopped after three songs and let her dad on stage. He was his usual consummate professional: his still powerful voice, flawless technique, and ultimately cool demeanor belying his 84 years. (cont--)
