A beautiful, moving tribute to an old friend, albeit an edifice, and the players who graced us with their presence there

  • @gaas970 Those idiots are from Detroit. They used to sit behind me.

  • Remember being out in right center Some guy, #23, hit one out right in front of us.Me, the kids & my Bro, Uncle Dave. Mort & Ruthanne, now in Vegas.

  • well done, great pics of old Comiskey...most of my memories are from the 60s..

  • @gaas970 They moved the pin wheels from the old scoreboard to the new stadium not the entire thing. Andy the Clown was sort of a self made mascot, the fans just embraced him.

  • Not From Chicago. But I watch this video and it looks like great times. 2 Questions?? 1> Did they move the scoreboard to the new chicago park. 2> why do you have a clown that scream's

  • As soon as you walked into Old Comiskey you felt Baseball and the memories can never be taken away,my fondest being 1983 and a team that i think was the best that year regardless of standings at the end.Loved Andy The Clown and Nancy Faust on the organ

  • Very Nice. I met my wife at Comiskey in 1974. Dick Allen hit a line drive HR that hit the CF back wall.

My daughter was a honorary bat girl on Sept 5th, 1990. I still have the jersy and bat they gave her.

I don't miss the bath rooms or Andy the Clown.

  • I definetley MISS the one and only "Baseball Palace of the World" Old COMISKEY! The arched roman style windows, shower in center field, exploding score board, NANCY FAUST! The '83 Sox should have been world champions! "GO SOX!" What a shame the park wasn't properly maintained, it might still be with us today!

  • Man, I loved this place. I truly wish there had been a way to refurbish it. instead of tearing it down. I recall also seeing a plan to turn part of it into a public park and baseball museum, which never worked out. I do, however, like what they've done with the "new" park over the past couple of years. And the World Series victory was worth whatever it took.

  • i remember the ballpark when i was a kid
