The wings did their job! The stakes were high for me, so I was disappointed that I only made a tiny hop in the air. But it worked!

Although the weather this week didn't look good at all! Yesterday in the afternoon the sun returned for just a couple of hours. So I prepared the wings with my crew a.s.a.p. and jumped in the van to the testinglocation.

Here it is guys. Enjoy!

  • not enough flow rate. I think need to start using car or a better motor-boat (for more safety + flying over the water and using energy of waves).

but good try. good luck in future

  • imaging a kite, a man holding da line and pulling... probably do da same... theres anada problem i can see. but i wuna put it on mine 1st but if u wuna kno i give u a hint. wen birds push down on their wings they go up. but what happens wen u twist all of that up syd down??? well, u wud go down...my perspective on ur wing is... its duin both at the same time. so u need a way 2 cancel out 1....hmmmmm... best of luck

  • I don't know why I couldn't breathe when I saw the guy take off momentarily, literally...

  • @bjorngroen Leonardo at the time did not have the technology available today. The flapping of the wings is assisted by motors. It's not like it is the person wearing them is using his body strength to fly. Lot's of toys use that technology, it is just a question of scale and optimization.

  • This may need some sort of pedal mechanism that you can shift to when you are airborne, both for hands and feet.

Of course that would drastically increase the weight in whole, so a larger wingspan would be needed.

  • When you are airborne the wings don't seem to have the strength to flap as good as when you are running, they may need more power to flap while holding your weight. Also you are going to need a lot of body strength to hold your self horizontal while flying.

  • EVERYBODY IS DREAMING ABOUT THIS. KEEP UP YOUR WORK! ONCE (NOT IF, BUT ONCE) YOU DO IT, I THINK MANY WILL FOLLOW YOUR EXAMPLE, I KNOW I WILL! YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE IN THIS DESTRUCTIVE WORLD, AND THAT IT SELF IS WORTH A LOT!

  • DID YOU SEE HOW MANY VISUALIZATIONS IN FIVE DAYS? 128428 UAU, AMAZING. EDU

  • HELLO, I Watch this video and I Want to take a practical suggestion. I KNOW YOU ARE VERY EXPERIENCED AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING. BUT SEEING THE VIDEO FOUND THAT THE ANGLE OF ATTACK WING MUST BE CORRECTED, SO NO HOLDS WITH EFFICIENCY. MAKE SURE YOU WILL GET TO WORK. I WOULD LIKE TO HELP YOU. I WILL GOT IN TOUCH. GO AHEAD AND CONGRATULATIONS FRIENDS, EDUARDO.

  • Way to go! I can't wait to see more!
