"Precarious" comes from the first G.e. cd 'Global Warming' in 1988. This song was worked on extensively from possibly as early as 1985 and 86' with Phil Keegan on guitar working out arrangements with Rick Carmody on bass and drummer Rich Hebben ,...long before Clark Hagins was in the band. This short little song quite possibly could be the original first 'grunge rock' song as it was a lively tune for G.e. through out 1987 before finally being recorded in February of 1988. A little too much ahead of their time and the curve, G.e. would book themselves with punk rock bands for shows as part of the South Bay's 'alternative rock scene' instead of opting for the long haired heavy metal scene of knac....Phil Keegan's guitar changed the way many bands thought of the instrument and this song live was always a winner as it was sang by Hagins - from the DRUMSET OF ALL PLACES !....The three piece G.e. knew they had a winning idea (s) and they would mail in their songs and glossys and bios to labels major and indie....G.e. never found a recording contract except for a deal with Rock City Records in 1989 which contributed to the confidence to bring about the 1992 Song WHITE BLACK THANG which today works well for thousands of plays and downloads at google video in 2008 !!
