Meet the chefs of Fire on the Rock 2009!
It started with 16 High Country chefs competing in head-to-head culinary battles where YOU, the dining public, decided who would make it to the finals.
The prelims were held at Crippen's Restaurant and nearly 500 hungry patrons came out to support their favorite chefs. The winners from each heat advanced to the Blue Ridge Wine & Food Festival.
The final battle for the championship included Bill Greene and Dominic Geraghty, with the judges giving both chefs a TIED SCORE! Thanks to the record turnout this year, the event raised close to $2000 for the Fire Department. Thanks again to everyone who participated in this event!
