the episode was good but what about lucifer??? sam didnt say a word of him and dean also didnt ask in the whole episode is he still in the cage or not

Don't know if I'm the only one, but when I watch this scene I sometimes tear up, my heart brakes and I get a knot in my stomach. I didn't want Dean living this life, not even for the two days we saw, I wanted him back with his brother, back with Sammy. I like the song, but watching this scene always hurts.

@alucardv2 I know it is what he's always wanted, but what fills my heart with love is that he'd give it all up, the whole nine yards for Sammy. To be a hunter again with his brother right beside him. Dean's own personal heaven will always be, him driving on the road in the Impala with his brother riding shotgun. He liked being w/ Lisa and Ben, but Sam came back and Dean was gone. Ben and Lisa are his family too, true, but Sammy's his blood, brother, best friend, his everything. No contest. <3

If any other show even tries to do this, they just end up looking stupid or just camp. Whereas, with supernatural, you just feel everything the characters are going through. I really hope when supernatural ends, the two boys are happy rather than locked in fight till death with some insane creature (although I wouldn't mind seeing that..lol).

@falloutatdjp i mean, he had ben and lisa's minds wiped so they wouldnt remember him and it tore him up the same as loosing his brother, because it was the happiest he ever was and the closest to a normal life a hunter ever had but he was hurting them because he had to go with sam to stop whats out there.

Thats why this is the best opening supernaturals ever had; it shows the parralels to what dean wants and what he has been brought up as. The past always catches up with em regardless.

@falloutatdjp but he didnt give it up for same though, he gave it up because he was putting Lisa and ben in danger, not for this crazy bromance that everyone keeps saying it is. It goes back to season 2 WIAWSNB with the Djinn, he wanted a girlfriend, he wanted sam to get married and a normal life. Deans heaven is his car and his music and his brother, but its also having a family, BEING a family with john and mary, sam and jessica. Dean left with sam because he needed to fix sam.

@falloutatdjp See im the opposite. What I love about this is that it tears me up because I know that its what Dean really wants, but will never be able to have. Course he wants sam, but he wants a stable life, a family and to not have the possibility of dying in the morning.

To me, the bravado of sleeping with all the women he has shows that its not the real dean. When he goes back and see's john and mary, he begs her not to go into the room and die, looking back they would be a happy family.

this just breaks my heart every time. but i always have to smile when they show that gun and holy water under his bed.
