@mermcc David sings the word "believe" in both this song and in "We Believe" with an "a" sound because he hits a high note at that point. If he tried sing high with the correct pronounciation it would have a shrieky "ee" sound kind of like Hodges does in this version.

After hearing David pronounce "believe"...as "belehv"....it doesn't sound right on this song. Not sure how this was a co-write for DC though...sounds like Hodges' song.

Now I now why this song sounds so familiar when I heard David Cook's version. Cook's version is just so so good, I dwell on it up until now. Haha. And David H. is great.
