Her only Hope ( Jonas Sister ) Chapter 2 part 2

After dinner the family moved to the living room to watch a movie together. Emma sat on the floor and everyone looked at her. Emma, why dont you come sit by me? Denise asked. Emma smiled, this being the first time anyone other then Denise had seen her smile, and she made her way over to her new mom. She sat in between Nick and Denise and Kevin popped in the Chronicles of Narnia.

Everyones eyes were glued to the screen. When the movie got to the part were the wolf jumps out at the two sisters unexpectedly, Emma jumped and held onto the nearest item, Nicks arm. The rest of the movie she didnt let go, she hid her face into his arm. By the credits, they noticed Emma was asleep. Why dont you carry her upstairs for me? Denise whispered to Nick, considering Emma had a death grip on his arm and her teddy bear.

He nodded his head and stood up, wile picking Emma up bridal style and carrying her to her bedroom. Nick set Emma into her bed and pulled the pink floral comforter over her. She shifted a little and opened her eyes. Hey, I just brought you to your bed, if you need anything, Im right across the hall, and my door will be open. Night. He kissed her cheek and walked into his room.

Emma snuggled into her pillow and held onto her bear. She hoped tonight she wouldnt have her usually nightmares, and in the morning, she would still be here with her new, nice family.

Later that night Nick was awoken by a crying sound. He looked around and realized it was coming from Emmas room. He quickly got up and made his way into her room. He noticed she was sweating and crying. N-no she cried. Please stop. She mumbled. Nick was slightly taken back; this was the most hes heard her speak. Nicks heart broke in two as he ran his thumb over her cheek wile she cried. Shh Emma, youre okay, wake up Shh... Wake up youre safe. He whispered.

She shot up and hugged him tight wile he ran his hands through her hair. She cried into his chest. Youre safe now, Emma nobody can hurt you. Emma pulled back and studied Nicks face. You okay now? Nick asked. Emma nodded and looked down at her sheets. Whats wrong? he asked her as he sat besides her. She shrugged in response.

Im going to be the best big brother ever. Nick smiled. Emma hugged him tightly and sighed. Are you going to be able to get back to sleep? Nick asked. Emma shook her head 'no' and Nick sighed. Want me to stay with you? he asked. She nodded and smiled. As she closed her eyes Nick hummed a lullaby to her.

Soon both Jonas were fast asleep. Both had a grin on their face.
