This is some footage I shot in dove season and didn't get to upload until today. I say it in the text in the video before it starts, I say it verbally before I begin and I will say it again here. This is a graphic video that shows how to clean doves, there is blood, guts and I even pull their hearts out (because hearts fried in butter and garlic are yummy), if you don't want to see footage like this don't watch it. Comments from cry babies and PETA types will be deleted.

  • This is a grat video. It is people like you and me that keep it real. People would rather go and buy the meat from the store instead of getting it themselves. I only have one question... Is there bones behind that breast you pulleed out. I usually cut the head off the pull all the skinn and feathers off. Next I cut the two breasts off and soak them in salt water. I was just wondering if there were still bones back there with your method.

  • @28IanRickert - Yep there are bones but it really isn't an issue. This way you are faster and have no need of a knife. Once cooked you can easily pull the meat off with a knife and cooking on the bone makes it less likely to dry out and to me has better flavor. Cut a slice in each side right on the bone, push in a slice of jalapeno and a piece of garlic, wrap in bacon and grill basting with beer and soy sauce. I also never soak anything in salt water unless it is real bad blood shot.

  • I think it's pretty hot when a man can strip a bird down to meat in 30 seconds with his bare hands. ;) (yes, I'm female)

  • @jmpierce - I wish you would explain this to my wife! LOL

  • poor bird that's mest up

  • @rockandroll22yea - What the hell does "mest" mean. LOL
