@wrathofvengance67 No Germans are one etnict group of the Germanic tribes.
The Norse are North Germanic people.
The Saxons, Angles and Jutes founded England and they were west Germanic tribes.
The Franks that founded France were also a west Germanic coalison of different west Germanic tribes.
The Germanic tribes took Europe in to the medievel times after them become Christian and after the west Roman empire fell.

@genzod94 The vikings was not only masters at sea they were also very good horse riders. There are many acounts of that the vikings used horses at land. Otherwise it would be impossible to control large land areas.
And about the Battle of Hastings. The Normans that won that battle was also the descent of the Vikings that settled the the part of France that become Normandy. That why Normandy has it name= The lands of the North men.
