Definately not to slow. Only in this way it could be beautiful the way it's meant.
And I sang a lot of it as well.

You don't have to explain the "story"... I know many many AveMarias and especially this one from Sisask. I know this piece sooooo well and sang it already so many times in my profesional chamber choir.
By the way- have fun while singing and nice to see that you sing Sisask!
Try the "Agnus dei" from him. Its beautiful...

It's not slow... Crotchet = 40, that's what is in the score.
And what's more, this work is about the Virgin Mary standing at the bottom of the cross, while his son is dying. The tension of the scene requires a slow tempo

cada coro tine su forma de repressentar las piezas, ahi esta parte de la belleza de la variedad. No soy u gran experto, pero no podria ponerle pegas a este coro que tantas horas me ha tenido enganxhado a youtube. Seguid asi chicos. Un afectivisimo saudo de un seguidor "coreuta" de Accento (esto es a titulo propio, pero no me arriesgo demasiado si digo que mis compañeros pensarian lo mismo).

Me gusta lo equilibrado de las cuerdas de este coro, no hay estridencias, está compactado y bien cubierto. Se atreven con todos los estilos y épocas.
Aunque es un recien llegado, ha nacido con toda la sabiduria de una etapa anterior en Kantika Korala, donde han madurado la voz, sin perder el frescor de la juventud.
