How long did you have them together in one tank before they start spawning?

so.. after how many days together getting to know each other the male would really chase after the female?

The male will chase after the female from the moment you put them together, but spawning will not take place until the female is ready!

Just a small update. Unfortunately all the fry from this spawning died within 2 weeks! Cause probably starvation! I hade made an Infusoria culture in advance that I tried to feed them with, but they didn't seem to like it and all slowly perished! Good news is I have a second spawn and I managed to get the fryes to survive the first 2 weeks this time, and they are now happily eating Artemia!

1 1/2 hours together is not enough time for them to "get to know eachother"!
You have to leave them together for a longer time! Usually it takes two days before my Bettas finally spawn, after a lot of chasing and courtship display! You'll need some safe areas were the female can hide away from the males attacks!
