I saw Mr. Smith in a San Antonio Opera production of Boheme several years ago and his sound flooded the small hall they were in at that time. I knew then he was something special and see now that he has grown into bigger roles quite well. Bravo!

@vivadomingo1 The MET wants pretty boys with designer hair and who look good in swim suits. Voice is optional, although anything heavier than a Nemorino voice simply cannot be allowed in in the big Verdi and Puccini roles.

I've heard this sung by many other singers, but I think he does it the best- esp in person. Such a beautiful bass in his voice. Such power! Love it!!
