I finally got a look at my Mother-in-Law's workplace, which is basically a sweatshop. The workers there work 13 hours a day, 7 days a week. For each square of cloth they make, which requires 200 back-and-forth motions on the machine, they receive 1 yuan ($0.20). They recieve room and board from the company, and bring home about 800 yuan a month ($100). This is how your "made in China" clothes are made!
