CART FEDEX 2002 CHAMPIONSHIP - VIDEO RACE RECAP - October 27 2002 -- Honda Indy 300 -- Surfers Paradise -- Queensland, Australia. Rain...rain...rain shortened this race to half. In fact, the race stands about 15 laps until heavy rain causes yellow flag and safety car. The first 15 laps where damn hot. Right at the start a massive crash took almost every one. In the resume, we cannot see how it started but look closely at Dominguez acting as a cleaner. He took Takagi and Vasser up in the air. Luckily, nobody was seriously hurt. The average speed of the race was 55.8 mph. Dominguez who was last, won the race. Underdogs: Franchitti, da Matta, Andretti. Mechanical: Servia, Dixon. Contact: Takagi, Fernandez (everyone did hit something). This summary stands 03 minutes 13 seconds. Music: Our Lady Peace -- Neon Crossing.

I remember watching this race and thinking at the time that there was no way they should have started it in torrential rain. It was stupid!!

yeah, it was a little boring, it was getting dark over there when it finished!!! I was watching it and I thought that Fernadez was dead! I almost cry... but fortunately all of them went out alife!!! few

Most of the race was run behind the pace car. I believe there were only about seven or eight laps run at full speed.
