Happy Time Records, 1962. Unlike the similar Teddy Bear record I uploaded, this one says it was made in the USA. It's not apparent from the scan but this disc is actually transparent apart from the colour. It's much more like a normal vinyl single than a picture disc - it's thinner and doesn't have the crinkled edge that usually accompanies a bit of card sandwiched in the record. As for the record itself: it sounds like there's a bit missing at the beginning, because the first reference to Goldilocks in the narrative is to "she". Also the way the story jumps to a happy ever after is remarkable. But then bears are known for their tolerance. You might notice a certain similarity between this and the Teddy Bear clip. I don't just throw these things together. Oh hang on, I mean I do just throw these things together. I'm always getting those two muddled up.
This was originally released on Pickwick's "Cricket" label (and eventually, several of their other "kiddie" labels) around 1954, and was co-written by Cy Leslie [head of Pickwick] and the label's musical director, Warren Edward Vincent. I've heard a slightly different edited version of this one....
