  • hey i have a question i have recently built a vocal booth and i am having some problems i have a pair of headphones that i would like to get in their but the cable is too short can you help me out on this?

  • @ProgressiveBeats502 I have a long cable extenuation.. or you can hard wire a headphone jack.. you can buy a box to mount inside the booth.. go to radio shack and buy the head phone receptacle hardware then buy a box with a pre drilled hole for the head phone receptacle hardware,

  • Good Job Bro! What are the dimensions of your or your wooden walls?

  • @xxdanger06xx its 4 feet wide by 7.2 tall

  • I noticed the steer on the wall.Yes, there IS vocal talent in Texas. We don't all sound like hicks or ride horses. Can you bust out some redneck on demand, though too? My favorite part is when they say,"Um, we're kinda looking for something more country, kinda trailer-ish..." Then I bust out the accent I've been subtly training for my whole like and sound like I just stepped out of a trailer in the bowels of east Texas. Jaws tend to drop. That can be as valuable as a foreign language, heh.

  • @420squeeg buddy u know it.. how you doin Kyle?

  • what happens if you fart in there?

  • Nice Booth ,

But instead of the music playing . It might be better to lower the volume on the muisc and talk about how you built it. Plus the materials involved. Then the all important bottom dollar price.

  • Im thinking of purchasing the dawbox.com plans. are you happy with the results my fear is that the recorded vocals will have the dreaded "boxy" sound u get with tight enclosures like this. Is that the case?

  • Right if i wanted to soundproof my room, would having a wall of that foam stuff do it? Or would i need to cover my wall in something else.

I'm also thinking to do my door too, but don't know what to do with sound proofing a door yet~

So what could i do to sound proof one wall and my door just to stop my parents coming into my room at 2am telling me off for music or being too loud on the xbox,

  • @ProgressiveBeats502 they sell extenstions (radio shack, ebay, best buy, ect.)

  • Nice job ... you might want to try Owens Corning 705 insulation w fabric on top. GREAT for absorption ... also I got a chance to interview a world-class studio designer and engineer ...if you want feel free to check our channel. it's called Secretpros ... make music! =)
