@Sennnsie what are you trying to do? find the roots? it is already factored in this case, so just set the stuff inside the parenthesis equal to zero and solve.

what if the problem is " (x-1)^2 (3x-1)^2=0 how do I start solving that? which method

I didn't listen to my teacher all year and failed practically every test and got an A on the final because of this guy haha. Its great my teacher gives you the grade you get on the final. She shouldnt have said anything at the beginning

This is good stuff Patrick.It's a sad world we live in when people complain about something that is free.Where is the love.If they had enough common sense they would simply look back at your other videos and learn the easier methods before approaching this one.

@solarprophet23 ha, yes, you read my mind. :) but it happens. people are often frustrated by the time they show up here and end up venting a little, so i understand ;) everyone acts a bit crazy on the internet from time to time i think

@mbdsfan1 you could make one side zero and try to factor (it will not factor though). the question really is: what number squared, then multiplied by 2 is going to equal a negative number though?
