Helicopter flight over Iraq

Here is a video of what flying a helicopter is like in Iraq. Note the flares being dispensed at the beginning of the video. Manpads (SAMs and RPGs) are a serious concern, flares help protect against IR guided munitions.

Yes, there are a number of shoulder fired missiles floating about. We've lost helicopters to these deadly missiles. The biggest threat is the SA-7.
