An extremely cold and foggy winters day and a homemade vapor injector on a 5.0 Mustang produces fantastic tailpipe exhaust vapors. Makes for a silly test and good fun. The vapor injector cost about 3 dollars to build. Allows you to run more timing, a cooler intake, and less knock.

  • this is great,,,, but how do you keep the pasic from melting...and ..what bottle?? V8??

  • Haha... A plastic 1/2 gallon juice bottle rests on the dipstick tube arc and neck is zip tied to master cylinder. Hasn't melted yet. Ironically it did freeze last winter., I added some washer fluid. Going on two years now works great...

  • Thanks! yep a little vapor goes a long way ....

  • Is this basically a homemade methenol injection kit? How are you regulating how much you're putting into the engine?

  • It's a vapor injector drawn in by engine vacuum only, much simpler than a pressurized meth system. Basicially keeps the intake cool like a bag of ice. Adjustable with simple aquarium air regulator

  • What part of Oregon are you from? I am in Hillsboro, nice car by the way!

  • Yeah washer fliud is nothing more than methanol.. Even the ingredients have the two main ingredients listed to make it pretty much methanol LOL

  • @teddorward 180

  • @teddorward i guess, i have leaky overflow../coolant reservoir and i hate it,, until i replaced it... i could never have a juice bottle on my 5.0/ and why when it really does not do anything... try a bigger radiator or lower thermostat
