@patergaskin Effectively yes - though I can see how the average reader of these comments could have a similar perception. I was merely trying to assist you in noticing that your complete lack of logical process throughout your conversation really undermined what you were trying to say. Plus, if the matter 'doesn't concern me', it'd probably be wiser if you didn't post it on a notoriously popular public forum.

I undertook no part and have no interest in the rest of your debate about the video's correctness, so I don't really see how your criticism is valid.

@villafan001 The point of the discussion was: Did the ref make the right decision in the video. So with this in mind, allow me to spoon-feed you... To correct my earlier point: The ball must touch the ground OR ANOTHER PLAYER to be a knock on. Thank you for insisting that this detail be correct, however you have proven your utter idiocy to me by failing to see that this detail has no significance to the point of the discussion. You are therefore dismissed.

@patergaskin You strike me as ignorant, argumentative and actually rather silly. You made a clear suggestion that the ball must touch the ground to count as a knock-on and to evidence that claim you yourself have in fact provided a counter-example to it (touching another player)! Ridiculous. Also, I would second what MGoose66 says about interpretation - I am a cricket umpire, and there is so much teaching that goes on to inform officials how to apply laws that you don't see from the plain text.
