Kevin John Correia (born 1980-08-24 in San Diego, California) is a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball. He attended Grossmont High School in El Cajon, California. He attended Grossmont Junior College and then transferred toCal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2000. He was drafted by the Giants in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2002 MLB Draft. In 2008, Correia teamed up with close friend and San Diego based agent Chris Springfield, who works under his mentor Barry Axelrod. Correia is of Portuguese-American heritage.
