I won the jingle-writing contest on CBC Radio One's "Bandwidth". The task was to write a one minute jingle for "Acadia Dry", the fictional ginger ale in Paul Quarrington's King Leary, the winning book in the "Canada Reads" contest.
My prize was to buy my own airline ticket and fly to Ottawa to sing it as part of the "Canada Reads: Ontario Rocks" contest. They did pay for my hotel room and taxi, plus c. $7,000 per hour for my one minute performance.
