Astonishing voice, marvelous music, wonderful production. Must keep as a favorite. Deller could sing alto and still maintain a male timbre with some "punch," avoiding soft breathiness or lack of vocal focus often heard with countertenors.

Alferd Deller is better known for Purcell and the Lutenists, the Handel opera Sosarme (possibly the first complete Handel opera recording) has a few beauties. The duet Per le porte del tormento and the heroic aria Alle sfere della gloria show his versatility. Try the Esurientes implivit bonis from the Magnificat in D major.
Carry on the good work, it's lovely to hear other recordings.

I even didn't know that his voice is so suited for Haendel arias. Never heard this one. AMAZING!
Really Alfred Deller is the greatest countertenor of XX century.
