How To Change your SMS Alerts {Iphone 3g}

This worked for my iphone 3g 3.1 dont see why it wouldnt work for all
I dont know the reason but you cant change the tri tone one for some reason but you can do the rest.

Youll need WinSCP: or whatever you use to log onto your phone thru your pc.....

If you dont use winscp or never have win you install it the port is your iphone ip and the username is root and password is alpine

sms-received3.caf-glass
sms-received4.caf-horn

@BeachAngel15 I have updated the link inside the video , if you are talking about once you get it 1 cyberduck is for mac and winscp for windows make sure you are putting in your right ip as host

My message tone that i want doesnt have a file in the name. If i look at the file name in properties it says it is a .aiff file, but adding .caf to the end doesn't have any effect on it. I don't get the pop up saying the file might not work anymore. I can't figure out how to change the file name in the properties either.

Also, when I put it onto the phone it goes in as "sms-received2.caf.aiff" i've deleted the .aiff and the symbol on the left changes but nothing happens.

Help please?

@higuy210 Jo cool biatch finally found the solution if you're still interested, so you have a windows pc he? the problem with windows is that it automatically hides the .wmv or .caf or whatever of files, if you want to see those extensions you have to go to computer-> organise -> folder search options or something like that-> view-> and THEN Untick the fucked up box that says: hide extensions and then we can manually change the extensions:) You're welcome.
