Demolition of Smith Hall at UMass Lowell Begins

On July 7, 2010 demolition began of Smith Hall at UMass Lowell. Smith is being demolished to make way for the construction of the Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center.

I lived in that 4 th floor corner room, during the academic year 1979-1980, that they are tearing down in this video. My best friend lived across the hall from me in the other corner room. I am so sorry to see Smith being torn down. I have a lot of good memories of living in that dorm and in that room.
