Amateur rendition of "Perhaps Love," inspired by duet between John Denver, the author of the song and words, and Placido Domingo (e.g., at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YnfCH7LNcM). I believe that I sing this song 3 semitones higher than the duet version, and 2 semitones higher than Denver's solo versions as well as my own earlier versions on this channel.
In this version, I sing solo, but my other version, placed here on YouTube on this channel on the same date, simulates the duet between Denver and Domingo. In that self-duet, I play both roles. I sing in what is not any more my normal fashion in order to simulate the flavor of the Denver style. I also put on a bit of a non-English accent in places to capture the Domingo flavor of the song. Note that my natural operatic tendency is to sing more similarly to Domingo than to Denver, which has evolved due to my singing coaches over the past year. You can hear that in this solo version.
Really good man not amateur at all. Very close to Placido Domingo.
