Organ Graziadio Antegnati (1565) - Mantova - ITALY, restored by Giorgio Carli ( http://www.carliorgani.it/ )
Umberto Forni plays: Ricercare super "My Favorite Things"
(prima pars - alio modo - chromatica - passacagli ad libitum).
Many many years ago there were strong men whose job was to raise the bellows for organ wind, finally arrived some invisible men...
This is a wonderful piece. Who is the composer if I may ask?

Having nightmares visualizing re-leathering all these quintuple rise wedges! My hat is off to Signor Carli.

I think it is great that this can be played with absolutely no electrical power source.

What are the "invisible men"

As a boy I began playing for church on a 3/26 1889 organ that had started its life being manually pumped; then a blower was added powered by the municipal water supply, using the pressure then simply dumping the water into the sewer; finally an electric motor replaced the hydraulic driver. Thanks for uploading this video!

nothing like the sound of hand pumped pipes. with the slight depressuring sounds giving the organ a living blooming effect.
