  • I'm not so sure this is his 1932 recording. I think it might be his 1926 recording - it has the very muddied and indistinct sound of that 1926 recording, not the biting and clear sound of the brass of the 1932 recording.

  • It says on my LP cover that it was recorded in 1932.

  • Great, to read comments by audiophiles. I myselve am NOT an audiophile, i am just a collector by nature.

  • It wouldn't be the first time the 1926 recording has been re-issued on Lp and mislabeled as the 1932 recording. EMI did it about 30 years ago. My 78's aren't handy now or I'd check and confirm - perhaps after the remodel when everything comes out of storage! But I do hear some performance and acoustic details that makes me strongly believe this could be the 1926 recording. Thanks.
