Moroccan Girls Singing Anasheed (Islamic songs)

Muslims fast on the day of Ashoora to mark the day that Nabi Musa a.s. (The Prophet Moses) and the Children of Israel were saved from Pharaoh. Pharaoh was drowned in the sea. After the sun set and my fast was broken, I heard some singing and drumming at my door. I found a band of girls who sang away for me in exchange for some dry fruit and sweets. :)

I know the video is jumpy, but I did pretty good considering I was holding my baby and the camera, as well as having four children all gathered around me. The light in the stairs kept going out, but hey it is what it is 8-)
