It takes a real person to admit to their own mistakes and post a video of one so others can learn......thanks for posting this and glad to hear that you're alright.....was the car totally totaled??
-
@thetalkingelement Nice try, but that's exactly what happened. Changing speed in a curve will lead to a loss of control. You can't accelerate/decelerate when turning and that's exactly what this lesson is about.
Your comment was sarcastic, trying to prove someone else stupidity. You just prooved that you don't know what you are talking about. If you want to try lifting the pedal through a corner, be my guest... just make sure you have good insurance before (life and car).

@GiveMeThatMango Agreed. Looks like RX8 driver cut the wheel to the left prematurely. Big ups to the driver/host of the video though for sharing the mistake so others can learn from it. Also, I'm sorry about your car, PGROTHE. I hope you're okay and that you can look forward to another fun car in the future if you haven't gotten another one already. Peace.

Uhh i saw a video about a month ago where a guy in a light weight car crashed the same way as you did. (i mean, i'll be more careful in the future...)

From the crest onward the front wheels are constantly facing the left of your car's momentum (while also oversteering to the left), this is not counter steering, it is steering into the slide. You should have known better. But then you should have also known better than to lift the throttle in a curve and ultimately you shouldn't have raced on a public road in the first place.. Just saying. Sorry for you car
Looks like he switched his traction control off... obviously not a good idea

Lucky you didint kill anyone! You still drive like this on public roads?

@MogensPeralta You should read more before commenting. I'm not used to drive like that, it was that one time. This video has been posted to show people what not to do. But first I asked to read the description before posting, which you obviously didn't do.

Looking at this again I wonder Did you touch the brakes at all? If the car took off over the crest and the front landed first that would kick the rear out. or you possibly just took it at an angle and so and inside wheel landed first. Just some ideas.

@bivvyfox You are right, I had a little angle and I didn't touch the brakes at all. Only lifted the trottle to slow down a bit.
